I can't speak for Rebirth but I'm a big fan of LFT. It's basically everything I like about vanilla except previously underpowered classes, skills, and eqiups are made more viable. Only occasionally is something nerfed from FFT, usually by raising its JP cost (for instance, Auto-Potion and Teleport).
